Grace Long has shared Liverpool's life-changing impact as she prepares to return to the city.
The social media star has conquered the internet and has built up over 700,000 TikTok followers with her hilarious comedy sketches. The 22-year-old has built on her viral success with turns in TV shows such as Breeders and is now making her debut in a touring theatre production with A Song For Ella Grey.
The critically acclaimed adaptation of the Orpheus myth arrives at the Liverpool Playhouse from March 13 - 16 and Grace said it is particularly special to perform the show in Merseyside as she studied at LIPA. "People don't realise how amazing Liverpool is. It is my favourite city, not just for the arts and the culture, but for the people. It's a lovely city so it's nice to come back to what was my home for a little bit."
Grace originally hails from Cumbria and the move to Merseyside was her first time living away from the family home. The rising star originally intended to pursue a more academic subject but altered her plans on a whim when she attended a LIPA Open Day with a friend interested in seeing what the creative arts school had to offer.
She added: "I remember being there and thinking 'oh my god, this place is so cool, I would really like to come here'. It was a very inspiring day."
