Tony Bellew was relieved to hear that Everton had climbed out of the Premier League's relegation zone after meeting his wife Rachael for a brief reunion inside the I'm a Celebrity jungle.
The former WBC cruiserweight title holder is featuring in ITV's latest series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here taking place in Australia but was given an update on Everton's recent positive form.
Bellew is a self-confessed Toffees supporter, hailing from Liverpool and always wanting to keep updated on results concerning his team from the blue half of the city.
During his time in the celebrity jungle, Bellew has been restricted from the goings on of the outside world, but was given precious moments with his wife during the most recent episode of the show.
The 41-year-old has clashed with other contestants including Nigel Farage during his time on the ITV hit series so far and was visibly emotional upon seeing his wife for the first time since entering the show.
Bellew was surprised upon being led to a quiet part of the filming camp when he turned a corner to find his partner waiting for him.
'The kids miss you,' Rachael told Bellew after the pair embraced.
'I spoke to your mum and your dad and they're all made up and they're all dead proud of you.
'Oh Everton won,' she added. 'Did they really?' replied a surprised looking Bellew.
'Yeh they're out of the relegation zone, Corey told me to tell you that. 3-0 they beat Newcastle' she added.
Everton were slumped in the Premier League's relegation zone when Bellew first took his place on the show, with the club having been deducted 10-points for breaking the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.
However, have since bounced back with their emphatic 3-0 midweek victory over NewcastleRead on m.allfootballapp.com
