Tottenham player ratings vs Everton - Vicario impresses as Romero goes off with injury concern
Tottenham took on Everton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and came away with a 2-1 win despite not being at their best.
Spurs entered the game with the chance to give their supporters the gift of a top four spot for Christmas if they could overcome Sean Dyche's in-form Toffees. Ange Postecoglou had to make two changes with both Destiny Udogie and Yves Bissouma suspended and the Australian brought in Emerson Royal and Oliver Skipp.
Tottenham opened the scoring early on when Richarlison scored against his old club, making it four goals in three games, with a low first-time finish from Brennan Johnson's cross. Skipper Son Heung-min then doubled Spurs' lead with a bouncing effort after Johnson's shot had been pushed out by Jordan Pickford.
Andre Gomes hit a goal back for Everton in the final 10 minutes, when he was left in too much space after a corner was headed his way out wide and he fired in a good finish from a tight angle.
Spurs struggled to get out of their half and there was a late bit of drama when Arnaut Danjuma's shot didn't quite fully cross the goalline as Guglielmo Vicario got a leg to it after it hit the crossbar. Although the flag went up for offside the former Tottenham loanee did look to be onside but the hosts held on.

Made a good save from Calvert-Lewin. 15 minutes in and made a couple of comfortable saves afterwards in the first half before a late block from Harrison just before the break. Made a flying save to deny Danjuma and then he got a block on the line to stop the Netherlands international getting a last-gasp leveller. 9
Pedro Porro
The Spaniard got up and down his flank early on but had to defend as the game wore on and
