Tottenham come out of the international break hoping to renew their charge up the Premier League table with a clash at home against a winless Sheffield United. Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his team can do the business to keep up the pressure on Manchester City and the rest of the chasing pack, especially given the upcoming fixtures.
Spurs will be in action just four times before the next international break in October, a consequence of losing to Fulham on penalties in the Carabao Cup and missing out on European football entirely last season. Meanwhile, their rivals in the push for a place in Europe this season will be in action up to seven times in that same period.
Postecoglou's side have been playing some fine football while racking up some impressive results in the process. The Carabao Cup defeat aside, things are going about as well as could be hoped so far for Spurs after losing talisman Harry Kane in the summer transfer window.
But how does the next month stack up for Spurs and their rivals? Well, there are two huge clashes on the horizon that will test their European credentials to the limit - and another two clashes which give an opportunity to lay down a marker to the rest of the league.
