Liverpool's injury woes were this week worsened after it emerged Trent Alexander-Arnold was the latest player requiring time on the treatment table.
The Reds' right-back is expected to miss the club's remaining January fixtures, though could have a chance of being in contention for the game against Chelsea on January 31 if his recovery process goes to plan.
Jurgen Klopp's side do not play their next match until January 21, which sees them taking on Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League. Dominik Szoboszlai is one individual who could be welcomed back for this fixture, though others face a longer wait.
