Tottenham are interested in teenage winger Antonio Nusa, football.london understands. The Club Brugge star has caught the eye over the past 18 months with his dazzling displays for the Belgium side.
Nusa, who operates on the left wing, has played 26 times for Club Brugge this season, scoring three goals and assisting the same number. Now, with less than two weeks remaining of the January window, Spurs have approached Club Brugge about a potential transfer and loan back deal for Nusa.
Reports in Belgium have suggested Brugge are seeking around €30million (£25.7million) for Nusa and a guarantee he remains with the Belgium club for the remainder of the 2023/24 season as part of the deal. Chelsea also hold an interest in Nusa and reportedly lodged a bid for the teenager in the summer.
It remains to be seen if Nusa will leave in the January window, with the player speaking out on his future earlier this month. In an interview by Het Nieuwsblad, via VoetbalPrimeur.be, the winger said: “It is not the intention to leave before the end of the season. Never say never, it’s still football, but I’m a Club [Brugge] player. That’s what I focus on.”
Tottenham have already signed Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig this month, with the German capable of operating across the front line. Captain Son Heung-min is currently with South Korea at the Asian Cup and is likely to return in mid February.
Signing Nusa in January and loaning him straight back to Club Brugge could be something Spurs consider given that it worked extremely well with Destiny Udogie and Udinese last campaign. football.london has previously reported that there was a widespread feeling around the club that Spurs would look to tie up a deal for the future during this January
