With nine minutes of time added on virtually elapsed, the Uruguayan hit-man stuck a dagger in the hearts of Liverpool's title challengers by rising highest to brilliantly head home Alexis Mac Allister's lofted pass to clinch all three points at the death.
Nunez's last-gasp winner sparked scenes of utter bedlam in the Liverpool away end behind the goal and the Reds' No. 9 was at the heart of it. The 24-year-old only came on after 60 minutes, having been forced to miss last weekend's Carabao Cup final success with an injury.
