An emotional moment between Jurgen Klopp and Sven-Goran Eriksson has been shared on social media, ahead of the former England manager living his dream and taking charge of Liverpool.
Eriksson is part of the management team of a Liverpool Legends side that is taking on Ajax at Anfield for the annual charity match. Proceeds from the game go to the LFC Foundations charity and is the latest edition of the annual event.
Legends such as Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will be in action and led by lifelong Liverpool fan Eriksson, who revealed his terminal cancer diagnosis earlier this year. He later spoke of his long-held ambition to manage the Reds, something that has come to fruition today.

Ahead of the game, Eriksson, who managed England between 2001 and 2006, met current Liverpool boss Klopp inside the Anfield stadium. A video shared by the club on social media site X shows the moment.
Klopp greets the former England boss with a hug while saying “what a legend” before adding “nice to meet you!” Eriksson replies to Klopp with “congratulations, you’re doing great.”
The two then continue a conversation that is not picked up by the camera with big smiles on their faces. Speaking ahead of the game, Eriksson outlined how managing Liverpool will be a dream come true.
