Tournament will be held in the United States
The upcoming Copa America 2024, the 48th edition, is set to be held in the United States from June 20 to July 14 and feature 16 teams.
Conmebol will showcase 10 teams -Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Paraguay and Bolivia — while six Concacaf teams, including the United States, Mexico, Panama, and Jamaica, have secured their spots.
The remaining two berths will be determined through two single matches, Costa Rica vs Honduras and Canada vs Trinidad and Tobago, on March 22, 2024.
The tournament will kick off at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with the final scheduled for July 14 at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
Organizers hope for Argentina's participation, envisioning success whether in a classic match against Brazil or with the added excitement of theUnited States or Mexico's presence.
The group stage comprises four groups, with teams drawn from different pots, loosely organized based on FIFA Rankings.
The draw will take place on Thursday, December 7, in Miami at 19:30 ET / 16:30 PT, where the groups of each of the teams will be determined.
