Liverpool starlet Trey Nyoni has described being part of Liverpool's matchday squad for their 3-0 win over Brentford at Anfield as a day he will never forget.
The 16-year-old was named in the Reds' first-team squad for the first time on Sunday as he continues to leave an impression on coaches and players at AXA Training Centre.
Nyoni has been training with Jurgen Klopp's senior side in recent weeks, continuing a rapid rise to be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah via Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and Barry Lewtas' Under-18s and Under-23s respectively.

The former Leicester City youngster has netted three goals in four U18 Premier League matches, with run-outs in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy as well as an international debut with England Under-17s.
In a post on X, Nyoni wrote: "Day to never forget."
Following the win, Nyoni was basking in the moment of stepping out on to the famous Anfield turf as he applauded the Kop, before Liverpool boss Klopp went over for a conversation with the teenager as they left the pitch together.
But it's clear Klopp isn't the only person Nyoni is making an impression on. According to Liverpool Under-18s player-coach, Jay Spearing, Van Dijk called for the midfielder to be in and around the first team more.
"It was really nice going down to the AXA (Training Centre), training with the first-team. Virgil came up to him and congratulated him on training with them," Spearing said.
