But with the window open for a few more days, there are still a number of deals that could still get done before it slams shut.
One deal that looked like it was going to be completed was Brentford's signing of Club Bruges Antonio Nusa, but with talks stalling, Spurs have been alerted to the potential opportunity.
London rivals Crystal Palace are also looking to snap up a young star, as they made a fresh move for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Wharton.
