Newcastle United's manager Eddie Howe is really happy because three of his best players might play against Arsenal this weekend. Alexander Isak, Joe Willock, and Fabian Schar could all be ready for the big game at the Emirates Stadium.
The last time Newcastle played Arsenal, they won 1-0 in November. That game was exciting and even made Arsenal's boss Mikel Arteta very upset after the match. Arsenal are trying to win the league now, and Newcastle want to do well again like they did before.
Howe wants his team to do better and he's glad that his three important players are okay to play. Schar hurt his arm in a game but he's been training again. Isak hasn't played since he got a groin injury last month, but he's ready now. And Willock has been out since November with an injury, but he's back too.
Howe talked about Isak and Willock before going to London: «They have trained this week; it has been good to see them back on the grass. It has been a long time for Joe, he is a huge player for us.»
«We are pleased for him to be back amongst the group, he is a very popular member of the squad. Alex is an important player for us too, we have one more training session today — we won't take any risks — but we are pleased with their progress.»
Willock will bring much-needed energy back to Howe's engine room and the head coach is keen to ensure he does not break down again after suffering a setback earlier in the campaign. Indeed, Willock also missed the majority of pre-season due to a hamstring problem.
