Keisuke Goto is the latest youngster to emerge on Chelsea's radar this summer. The 18-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently as Todd Boehly continues to scour the market for the world's most exciting young players.
The Blues signed Omari Hutchinson, Cesare Casadei, Zak Sturge, Carney Chukwuemeka and Gabriel Slonina last year, before securing the signatures of Andrey Santos and Malo Gusto in January. This summer, the west London have continued from where they left off, wrapping up deals for Dujuan Richards, Diego Moreira and Angelo Gabriel.
Matheus Franca could also arrive at Cobham training ground in the coming weeks, but Chelsea reportedly face tough competition from Crystal Palace. While the Blues have been eager to add to their growing contingent Brazilian teenage talent, they have now also cast a magnifying glass over Asia.
So, with that being said, football.london have taken a look at the youngster and why Chelsea could be looking to add him to Mauricio Pochettino growing list of exciting young talent.
Who is Keisuke Goto ?
Goto, who sees his contract at the Yamaha Stadium expire in 2027, has featured 20 times for Jubilo Iwata in the J2 League this season, scoring five goals. Despite averaging just 37.6 minutes a game for the Japanese outfit, he's managed to attract the attention of some top clubs from around Europe.
The striker, who stands at just under 6ft 3ins, likes to use his physical dominance to his advantage and towers over defenders to score headers.
