A Wirral Village has been named as one of the best in the UK.
Consumer experts Which? have shared a list of the top small towns and villages in the country that are described as a "must visit", based on inland locations for their peace and quiet, scenery and food and drink.
More than 9,000 Which? members rated the places they would visit and one Wirral area made the top list.
Port Sunlight came joint third on the list overall with a destination score of 80% alongside Corfe Castle, just behind Avebury in Wiltshire with 82% and Wells in Somerset taking first place with 83%.

According to Which? Port Sunlight is an "ideal village". The guide states: "Despite its small size – it has fewer than 1,500 residents – Port Sunlight got five stars for attractions. One to see is the Lady Lever Art Gallery, a beautiful, neo-classical building home to a fine collection of pre-Raphaelite paintings."
For tourist attractions, Port Sunlight was given a four star rating out of five, similarly for its attractiveness. For scenery, it was given three stars, but the real winner was for "peace and quiet" in which it was rewarded a five out of five.
The ECHO previously reported on the picture-perfect village, which is a place of tradition and legacy with perfectly manicured lawns.
The village was founded in 1888 by industrialist William Hesketh Lever, later known as Lord Leverhulme. Lever said the creation of Port Sunlight was part of a business model he termed “prosperity-sharing”. Rather than profit sharing, he provided workers with decent and affordable houses, amenities and welfare provisions.
To preserve its past and safeguard its future, Port Sunlight is run by a trust.
