Gary McAllister has explained why he believes star players such as Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk won't be in a hurry to follow Jurgen Klopp in leaving Liverpool this summer.
Klopp announced last month that he would be stepping down as Reds manager at the end of the season. The German has been in charge at Anfield since October 2015 and has won seven major trophies along the way.
Liverpool are currently competing for all four major trophies this season that they began the campaign in, with the first opportunity coming against Chelsea on Sunday in the Carabao Cup final. The Reds are also top of the Premier League and still in the FA Cup and Europa League, as well.
After Klopp announced he would be leaving the club, speculation began to swirl around the future of some key players, namely Van Dijk and Salah, The duo are both contracted to Liverpool until 2025 and have now entered the final 18 months of their current deals.

There is no word yet as to whether or not Liverpool plan to offer Van Dijk or Salah extensions in the coming months. The result is that rumours continue to debate whether or not the pair, who have racked up a combined 583 appearances for the Anfield club, will leave this summer.
McAllister, who himself featured 87 times for the Reds, has dismissed the idea that Van Dijk and Salah could look to leave Liverpool because of Klopp's exit.
"This has obviously been brought to the fore because of the announcement [Klopp's exit]," McAllister told Betway when asked if he thinks Salah and Van Dijk could leave Liverpool.
