Wales under-21 manager Matty Jones has raved about Liverpool starlet Lewis Koumas - claiming it is "no surprise" to see him earning plaudits at Anfield.
The 18-year-old has become one to watch at Anfield after making his goalscoring debut for the Reds during their FA Cup fifth-round win over Southampton in February.
Koumas earned five caps for Wales under-19s and has immediately been put into Jones' U21s for their upcoming 2025 European Championship qualifier and friendly against Morocco.

There are question marks over who Koumas will pledge his allegiance too due to qualifying for both England and Wales, his father Jason making 34 appearances for latter. However, the Independent reported last month that they are confident that Koumas will play for the Dragons.
Speaking ahead of this month's internationals, Koumas has already left an impression on Jones, who told Sportsax: "Lewis is a very ambitious young player and there’s no surprise why he’s excelling.
"The taste he’s had of senior exposure – he’s trained quite regularly with the first-team – has elevated him. They’ve taken a liking to him.
"Everyone I’ve spoken to at Liverpool loves his self-confidence and his ability to drive at people and run. He’s developing on a daily basis, but the big thing is he can’t wait to come in."
