Adi Hütter has allayed fears regarding Mohamed Camara’s (24) knee injury, confirming that the Malian midfielder could return within the fortnight.
The Malian international suffered the injury in the 19th minute of AS Monaco’s 2-1 defeat against Toulouse FC on Sunday, and despite continuing for another five minutes, he was ultimately replaced by Mamadou Coulibaly, who made his Ligue 1 debut for Les Monégasques.
Post-match, manager Adi Hütter couldn’t specify the nature of the injury, however, the Austrian did nonetheless express “concern” for Camara.

However, those fears have now been allayed. Hütter has confirmed that Camara could be set for a rapid return, despite what looked like a nasty injury.
“It is a knee sprain and he could be back in a couple of weeks. I talked with him and he thinks he can maybe play next week, but I don’t know,” said Hütter in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News. Les Monégasques will also be without Krépin Diatta and Vanderson, who are both recovering from injuries, whilst Ismaïl Jakobs is also now out with a hamstring injury. Maghnes Akliouche and Thilo Kehrer are suspended against RC Lens.
There is better news regarding Breel Embolo. The Swiss international suffered an ACL injury at the start of the season, however, Hütter has revealed that Embolo is now training with the Groupe Élite ahead of a return to first-team training, which could come as early as this month.
