At a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Monaco manager Adi Hütter spoke to the media about his side’s performance following their goalless draw against Paris Saint-Germain.
Monaco will have felt extremely unlucky not to have taken three points from the match. Early in the match, Wissam Ben Yedder had the ball in the net but was adjudged to be offside and then in the second half, he clattered a volley against the crossbar which was flagged but would have stood following a VAR review if it had hit the back of the net.
Asked about the performance and the overall result, Hutter said, “First of all, it’s a good draw, we had a fantastic hour of play and some very positive work. We will take this and are very happy with the point after we had to defend PSG more after 60 minutes following their substitutes.”
Hütter was also asked about the early substitution of Kylian Mbappé, the Monaco manager joked, “I think you are fabricating this idea. It’s true, PSG have a big match in the Champions League, but don’t forget the good match of Wilfried Singo, notably against Kylian Mbappé.”
