Monaco predicted XI v Lorient: Adi Hütter to field unchanged side?
After a difficult start to 2024, AS Monaco have hit a patch of form at the right time. With two wins in their last three, and the other match in that run being a 0-0 draw against runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain, Adi Hütter seems to have found a winning formula.
A switch to a 4-4-2 formation is central to the recent revival and it is a formation that he is expected to deploy once more against FC Lorient on Sunday. “Why should I change after two clean sheets? It’s not necessary. I am happy with our backline,”said Hütter in a pre-match press conference, attended by Get French Football News. Despite the return of Vanderson, there aren’t expected to be any changes in defence.
Perhaps the only spot up for grabs is on the right-hand side of the midfield. Whilst Takumi Minamino is having an impressive season, Maghnes Akliocuhe continues to take his chances, whilst Eliesse Ben Seghir is also now making a case for a spot in the starting XI.
Mohamed Camara and Mohammed Salisu remain sidelined for Monaco, however, both are expected to return soon, whilst Bree Embolo, who has not featured this season, could also return after the international break.
