Agent shares Manchester United update amid two-year transfer pursuit

Manchester United links with Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko may now resurface after the player’s agent was pictured at Old Trafford.

Sesko has been a long-term target for the Red Devils with MEN Sport reporting back in July 2022 that talks had taken place between the club and the player’s agent, Elvis Basanovic. Sesko was at Red Bull Salzburg at the time but has since moved to RB Leipzig last summer.

He continues to impress with his performances, even earning comparisons with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, whose position he took after the striker’s move from Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old has scored 17 times in 41 appearances in all competitions this season. He is currently on a run of scoring in six straight Bundesliga games.

Sesko has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer with the striker reportedly on the Gunners’ wish list for the upcoming transfer window. But an update from Basanovic, the player’s agent, could potentially hint that a move to United may still be a possibility.

The agent has shared a picture of himself at Old Trafford for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal on Instagram. In the caption he wrote: “Just ordinary day in Premier League office.”

It’s not the first time he’s been at the stadium this season. Basanovic has previously shared images of him in attendance for the clash against Liverpool back in April, and at United back in January.
