Al Nassr will be seeking a first win in four matches to revive their title hopes when they host Al Riyadh in the Saudio Pro League on Friday.
Two AFC Champions League group stage draws were far less damaging to the side captained by Cristiano Ronaldo than the top-flight result that came in between them, when Al Nassr lost 3-0 at Al Hilal in their last league game.
That gave Al Hilal a 13th win from 15 in the Saudi Pro League, preserving their unbeaten record in style and moving them seven points clear at the top of the table with almost half of the season gone.
It also means Al Nassr have precious little for any more dropped points, starting with the visit of 13th-placed opponents in a local derby.
