Alan Shearer has labelled Liverpool as 'outstanding' after Jurgen Klopp's side played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
Two of the Premier League's big-hitters went toe-to-toe for 90 minutes at Anfield and could not be separated, leaving the title race wide open involving Jurgen Klopp's men, Man City and Arsenal. John Stones' opener was cancelled out Alexis Mac Allister's penalty, with the Reds also denied a late penalty.
Liverpool, who next face Manchester United in their FA Cup quarter-final contest next weekend, will hope to have the likes of Ibrahima Konate and potentially Thiago Alcantara back from injury, with Klopp hinting that a few of his first-team players could be edging closer and closer to a return.

Shearer, who famously won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers back in 1995, has praised the competitiveness of this year's race for the crown, with three teams still competing, as we reach the final ten games of an already enthralling campaign.
"Liverpool outstanding. City determined. What a great title race this is," the former Newcastle United forward took to X to explain earlier this afternoon.
Klopp, who is set to leave Anfield at the end of the campaign, was left bewildered late on as his side were denied a penalty when Jeremy Doku appeared to clatter into Mac Allister with just seconds remaining on the clock.
