It could once again prove to be another key weekend in the battle for Champions League football. Having moved to within two points of Aston Villa on Tuesday evening after a 1-1 draw with West Ham, Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham side were handed a big boost 24 hours later with the Villans suffering a 4-1 defeat away at Man City.
It is Villa who play first out of the two sides this weekend, with Unai Emery's team hosting Brentford at Villa Park in a 3pm kick-off on Saturday. Spurs are in action the following day as Nottingham Forest make the trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The game in N17 will see Nuno Espirito Santo return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since his dismissal as Spurs boss at the beginning of November 2021 following four months in the hotseat. Forest did pick up a crucial win against Fulham on Tuesday evening and they will be looking to follow it up with another positive result as they bid to keep their place in the top flight.
