Antonio Nusa signs, Hojbjerg decision, wonderkid exit - How Tottenham's transfer window may end
Tottenham Hotspur are now in the final eight days of the January transfer window and there are still plenty of decisions to be made.
The north London club moved swiftly this month to get two important players through the door for Ange Postecoglou in the shape of 27-year-old Timo Werner, on loan from RB Leipzig with a £15.5million option to buy, and 21-year-old Romanian centre-back Radu Dragusin on a permanent deal from Genoa.
There have also been departures galore at Tottenham as Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic have now all left the club, the latter two on loan to Bayern Munich and Hajduk Split until their contracts end this summer. Sergio Reguilon, Djed Spence, Japhet Tanganga and Alfie Devine all returned from loan spells and then went out on new ones. Ashley Phillips and academy youngsters Matthew Craig and Josh Keeley also got loan moves, adding to those already doing so in the shape of Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon and Troy Parrott.
We asked our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest to predict what else they think will happen in the final days of the transfer window.
You can never rule out a late opportunity presenting itself to Spurs and they will continue to look for a new number eight for Postecoglou's midfield, but I reckon the difficulty in finding a wealthy buyer for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could put a pause on that plan this month.
Conor Gallagher looks equally unlikely to leave Chelsea this month so putting off that midfield search until the summer with the number of bodies available within a couple of weeks when Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are back from the Africa Cup of Nations makes sense.
