Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham is set to leave at the end of the 2023/24 campaign

Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham will be leaving the north London outfit in the summer of 2024, the club have confirmed.

Venkatesham has been the Gunners' chief executive since 2020, assuming the position after spending ten years in various other roles at the Emirates Stadium. The Oxford University graduate has decided to pursue a new challenge but, until his departure, he will continue his day-to-day job as normal.

Venkatesham told the club's official website: "This was a tough decision, but it is time to pursue another challenge. Now is not the time for goodbyes as I remain focused until my last day and supporting a seamless transition."

The Gunners' Co-Chair Josh Kroenke also weighed in, hailing Venkatesham's impact whilst also confirming that it is indeed business as usual at the Emirates. Kroenke added: “The Board is fully supportive of Vinai’s desire to pursue his next challenge.

"While it is business as usual with everyone focused on the season ahead, we’d like to take this moment to thank him for his contribution and long service. Vinai will always be part of the Arsenal family and always welcome back at Emirates Stadium.

“Change and succession is something the club is well prepared for. The Board remains committed to our strategy and will address leadership change as we continue to drive the club forward.”
