The 27-year-old has been unable to represent the Bees so far this season as he is currently in the middle of serving an eight-month suspension for breaching Football Association betting regulations.
Toney, who cannot return to football until January, enjoyed an excellent campaign with Brentford in 2022-23, scoring 20 Premier League goals in 33 appearances to help the Bees secure ninth place.
The one-cap England international has scored a total of 68 goals and has provided 21 assists in 124 games for the Bees since joining the club from Peterborough United three years ago.
Toney has less than two years remaining on his Brentford contract and the striker has recently been the subject of much speculation ahead of the January transfer window.
London duo Arsenal and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in Toney, who is believed to be keen to seek pastures new and test himself at a higher level.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank recently admitted that there will come a time when the club considers parting ways with Toney, but only for the right price.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on YouTube, Brentford could entertain offers between £50m and £60m for Toney in 2024.
Romano adds that both Arsenal and Chelsea are well-informed about Toney's situation, with the striker having recently switched agents and joined one of the leading global agencies CAA Stellar.
It is understood that Chelsea are currently leading the race for Toney's signature, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to bolster his squad with a new centre-forward in the winter window.
