Vinai Venkatesham will leave his role as chief executive at Arsenal next summer after 14 years, the club have confirmed.
The Oxford University graduate has been in his current role since 2020 having spent ten years in a number of other roles at the club. Venkatesham will now leave the Gunners at the end of the season, but will continue his day-to-day job as normal.
«This was a tough decision, but it is time to pursue another challenge,» he told the club website. «Now is not the time for goodbyes as I remain focused until my last day and supporting a seamless transition.»
Arsenal Co-Chair Josh Kroenke, son of Stan Kroenke, also weighed in on Venkatesham's impact. Kroenke added: “The Board is fully supportive of Vinai’s desire to pursue his next challenge.
«While it is business as usual with everyone focused on the season ahead, we’d like to take this moment to thank him for his contribution and long service. Vinai will always be part of the Arsenal family and always welcome back at Emirates Stadium.
“Change and succession is something the club is well prepared for. The Board remains committed to our strategy and will address leadership change as we continue to drive the club forward.”

The focus will now be on recruiting a new CEO at Arsenal ahead of Venkatesham's departure. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment are expected to take their time over the decision, with the role of a CEO at a football club pivotal in the running.
However, Kroenke's portfolio of sports clubs in the United States could provide him with the ideal replacement to replace Venkatesham. The Gunners owner also owns Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids and has continued to build
