Arsenal will be in the market for a new striker when the summer transfer window opens. The Gunners, like many other Premier League clubs, did not do any business in January.
With Financial Fair Play and Profit & Sustainability Rules in effect, many Premier League clubs have been trying to balance their books and were more cautious in the transfer window. Everton have already had a points deduction — reduced from 10 to six on appeal — for breaching PSR and they and Nottingham Forest have another sanction hanging over their heads.
But by doing so, Arsenal will be hoping to have money to spend in the summer instead, as they aim for what would be a third Premier League title challenge in a row. And on their list of targets will be a new striker.
The Gunners added a goalkeeper (David Raya), a defender (Jurrien Timber), a midfielder (Declan Rice) and a forward (Kai Havertz) last summer. Havertz of course has been used in midfield and in the forward line this season by Mikel Arteta, but the Gunners boss will be looking for an out-and-out striker.

The RB Leipzig frontman has been in fine form of late. And at just 20 years of age he has plenty of time left in the tank and an expectation that he can continue to improve.
He has scored nine goals in 30 games for the German side this season, with four of those goals coming in the last five matches. He has hit a real purple patch.
