Arsenal have been linked with a move for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha ahead of the January transfer window. The Portuguese international has been a consistent performer in the Premier League since he arrived from Sporting CP.

. Arsenal now appear to be one of the sides reportedly interested in the player.Fabrizio Romano told Kick: “What I can confirm about Palhinha, this was around the media in the recent days, is that there are also English clubs interested in Palhinha. One of those clubs is Arsenal.”
The price tags being talked about well exceed the £50million mark and with Palhinha turning 29 in July, this has raised questions from many Arsenal supporters as to why the club might move for the Fulham man. However, there is a good reference point to perhaps douse the bubbling questions.

Partey became the long-needed successor to the defensive area of the midfield not seen since the departures of Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva.
Whilst injuries have plagued his time with the club, there’s little doubt that he levelled up the quality of the club’s central midfield.Since the arrival of Declan Rice this has only furthered things.
