Arsenal are sweating on the fitness of Gabriel Jesus for today’s FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool.
Mail Sport understands the Brazil international has suffered a knee injury.
The severity of the issue is unclear - but there is hope it will not be a long-term problem.
The development means Jesus is a doubt for today’s crunch clash at the Emirates Stadium.
If Jesus misses out, it will be a blow to Mikel Arteta’s side - who are hoping to return to winning ways following a run of two successive losses.
Provided Arsenal aren’t required to play in a replay against Jurgen Klopp’s side - Jesus, if deemed unfit enough to play, will have time to recover ahead of the Gunners’ next match against Crystal Palace on January 20.
The former Manchester City star has a history of knee concerns.
He missed the opening weeks of the season due a knee problem and missed three months of last season after undergoing surgery on the joint.
The South American also missed around a month with a hamstring injury between October and November.
Elsewhere, there is also doubt over the availability of Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is suffering with a calf injury.
Zinchenko missed last weekend’s loss at Fulham with the injury.
Arsenal’s season has been beset by injuries. Aside from Jesus and Zinchenko - they are currently without Thomas Partey, Jurrien Timber and Fabio Vieira.
