Borussia Dortmund and Ajax transfer target pledges future to Arsenal after Mikel Arteta praise

Highly-rated Arsenal youngster Chido Obi-Martin has pledged his future to the club, despite interest from Borussia Dortmund and Ajax.

The teenager has caught the eye while in action for Arsenal’s youth teams this season. He notably scored 10 goals for the club’s U16 team in a friendly against Liverpool back in November.

Despite still only being 16 years old, Obi-Martin has been a regular for the U18 side this season. Back in September, he scored a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Southampton, and more recently, found the net four times in an 8-3 victory against Crystal Palace.

He has also made two substitute appearances for the club’s U21 side in Premier League 2. The youngster has trained with Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad a few times throughout the season, and is said to be ready to sign his first professional contract with the club when he turns 17 in November.

It’s no surprise then that clubs around Europe are taking an interest with Dortmund and Ajax two teams named. But Obi-Martin, who is currently on international duty with Denmark U17s has dismissed any talk of a move away.

“I would like to stay at Arsenal for a long time. It's a good club, I can feel that I'm getting much better in training. There are a lot of good people and good coaches, so I'm really happy to be there,” he told bold.DK.
