Chelsea are set to be without Mykhailo Mudryk for their clash with Luton Town on Friday evening.
The Ukraine international suffered an injury in training this week and now looks set to miss the Premier League game with the Hatters on Friday. Mudryk has 'started rehabilitation' on the injury with the Blues all but confirming he will miss the match at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old is one of nine Chelsea players set to miss their third Premier League game of the season. Benoît Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku have also been ruled out for the game against Luton.
Mudryk has made cameo appearances in both games thus far this season. Most recently, he was brought on at half-time in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham United at the weekend.
With Chukwuemeka coming off with a knee injury, the Ukrainian was brought on to try and make an impact with Chelsea chasing a goal in the game. He started the half in the No.10 position but finished it out on the left-hand side. In either position, Mudryk was unable to make the desired impact.

After the game, Mauricio Pochettino jumped to Mudryk's defence. The Blues head coach insisted the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger needed «time» in order to justify his big-money move from Ukraine in January.
Pochettino said: «Today he played 45 minutes. I think he's a young player who we need to trust and build these relationships with us and the team. He has enormous quality and talent, it's only time for him to settle better with the team and find a way to perform in the way that we expect.»
