After another week of trials and tribulations in Gameweek 10, Fantasy Premier League managers are already out with their spreadsheets and note books.

The 'Dropping Erling Haaland' movement had started to gain traction in some quarters but the naysayers were quickly brought down to earth as the Manchester City striker bagged a 16-point haul against Manchester United. His form has been a little underwhelming in recent weeks but two goals and an assist at Old Trafford was the perfect slap in the face to those who had begun to doubt his talents.

It was also a good week for Bryan Mbeumo, who unexpectedly racked up 13 points away at Chelsea. That is now 27 points in two matches for loyal Mbeumo owners who rode through the four blanks that they were faced with.

West Ham started the season like a house on fire but have since regressed a little bit as they look to juggle European adventure and domestic expectation. Hammers fans would probably take another European final and bottom-half finish but that can leave FPL managers a little but agitated.

They may have lost to Everton but they created enough chances to win the match. Matches going forward are in the same mould as the Toffees: very winnable on paper.

With that in mind, punting on a man who has six goals and one assist in his first ten league matches is probably not bad thinking. Impressive statistics aside, Bowen is one of the first names on the sheet and he is the go-to man when West Ham make it into the final third.
