Chelsea take on city rivals Arsenal in the London derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and this is how both teams could line up.
The Premier League returns this weekend, with the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton up first for fans who missed their weekly dose due to the recent international break.
Later on Saturday, Chelsea take on city rivals Arsenal in the London derby at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the game, we analyse how both sides could line up this weekend.
Chelsea, in dire need of points, could be set up as follows:
Sánchez; Gusto, Disasi, Thiago Silva, Colwill; Caicedo, Gallagher, Fernández; Palmer, Jackson, Sterling.
The Blueswill be hoping that whatever team is put out will produce, as the West London club have only picked up 11 points from their opening eight games of the season. Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who have spent massively in recent transfer windows, sit in 11th place at the time of writing.
Arsenal are currently joint-top of the Premier League table with Tottenham on 20 points after eight games. Before the international break, the Gunners recorded a vital 1-0 victory over fellow title contenders Manchester City.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could opt for the following XI against Chelsea:
Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
Chris Kavanagh is the official at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Kick-off at Stamford Bridge gets underway at 12:30 p.m. ET. Here at AS USA, we’ll be providing live text commentary of the game from an hour before kick-off.
