Curtis Jones will start at right-back for Liverpool as they host Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.
Jurgen Klopp makes 10 changes in total for the game against the Foxes in the third round but Jones keeps his place and is shuffled into a defensive position, but will be expected to drift into midfield when the Reds have possession.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold still on the mend following a hamstring problem and Stefan Bajcetic still getting back to full fitness after six months on the shelf, Joe Gomez drops to the bench ahead of Saturday's trip to Tottenham, meaning it is Jones who is asked to play the 'hybrid full-back' role that Klopp favours at present.
Elsewhere at the back, Ibrahima Konate returns alongside Jarell Quansah at centre-back as Kostas Tsimikas, fresh from his new contract, starts on the left. Captain Virgil van Dijk is on the bench.

Liverpool strongest XI is now obvious after two signings and Darwin Nunez change
