Trent Kone-Doherty scored his first hat-trick in Liverpool colours while 15-year-old Joe Bradshaw scored on his Under-18s debut as the young Reds thrashed Sunderland 7-1 on Saturday.
Trey Nyoni opened the scoring with an early goal of the season contender for the young Reds after just three minutes. Running from inside his own half, the winger cut inside again before finishing from the edge of the box.
An £150k signing from Derry City in the summer of 2022, the 17-year-old completed his 24-minute hat-trick shortly after the restart. Played in by Jayden Danns, he once again cut in from the left flank before stroking home into the corner.
