Ever since arriving at Liverpool more than eight years ago, Jurgen Klopp has always been willing to give youth an opportunity to impress.
Indeed, on his first day in charge back in October 2015 he was spotted at the Academy in Kirkby taking in an under-18s game.
That ethos has continued throughout his reign, with the move of the first-team squad to their AXA Training Centre on the same site as the youngsters in late 2020 opening the door for further chances. Academy players are regularly spotted training with Klopp's senior side.
This season's Europa League campaign has already seen the Ben Doak and Jarell Quansah start while goalkeepers Viteslav Jaros and Fabian Mrozek have been among those on the bench.

And the latest open training session on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the following day's Group E match at home to French side Toulouse offered a further demonstration of Academy involvement in the competition.
Although Doak was absent injured, Quansah and teenage left-backs Luke Chambers, who made his debut as a late substitute in the League Cup win against Leicester City month, and Calum Scanlon, who was on the bench in last Saturday's Merseyside derby, were among those being put through their paces.
