Liverpool’s win over Leicester city in the Carabao Cup proved to be a night to remember for Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Reds were shocked to find themselves a goal down inside three minutes at Anfield. Leicester held on to their lead for the remainder of the first half but Liverpool were equally as quick to level the score after the break as Cody Gakpo linked up with Ryan Gravenberch to find the back of the net.
Substitutions from Jurgen Klopp, midway through the second half, saw both Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai introduced and the latter needed little time to make an impact. The midfielder unleashed an unstoppable shot from outside the box to give Liverpool the lead and fans in attendance a moment to treasure.
The scoreline was complete when Jarell Quansah burst forward down the right to find Diogo Jota, who produced a subtle flick to secure Liverpool’s place in the next round. However, a video released by the club has shown plenty of moments that fans would have missed on Wednesday night.

Alexander-Arnold makes Szoboszlai plea
Supporters have already begun to notice that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai appear to be building a connection, on and off the pitch.
The Inside Anfield video showed the pair after the final whistle as Szoboszlai threw his shirt into the crowd. However, Alexander-Arnold was quick to voice his disappointment.
Walking down the tunnel, the defender jokingly asked: “Can I have your shirt? Go on, can I have your shirt please!”
