Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has released a message on social media after his new side's bus was attacked - with the manager left covered in blood.
Lovren now plays for Lyon in France. The club's Ligue 1 clash away to Marseille was postponed this evening after the team coach was targeted in an attack that saw boss Fabio Grosso sustain injuries.
Posting an image of a bloodied Grosso on his Instagram story (see below: GRAPHIC WARNING), Lovren said: "What happened tonight to our coach and to us on the bus was beyond measure.

"I respect over the whole world true fans, but these were not true today. These people came with clear intentions to do some serious injuries.
"This has nothing to do with football anymore! If the law is not changed, one day it will be too late. The government must do something. I wish all Lyon supporters to come back home safely."
According to an AFP report, the Lyon vehicle was pelted with rocks on its way to Stade Velodrome.
Marseille club president Pablo Longoria said: "These are completely unacceptable circumstances.
"My first thought is for Fabio Grosso, someone I respect and have known for a long time. I went to see him as soon as I arrived at the stadium, I saw how he was."
