Brighton have the Premier League's next goalscoring sensation on their hands after Evan Ferguson scored a hat-trick against Newcastle.
The Republic Of Ireland striker secured a 3-1 win for the Seagulls 3-0 against Newcastle in a performance that showed exactly why he's being hailed as the real deal.
His first goal showed an incredible poacher's instinct as he pounced on an error from Nick Pope to slot home from close range.
His second came via a wonderful curling effort from outside the penalty area, while the hat-trick was wrapped up with a left-footed effort that took and deflection and wrong-footed Pope to end up in the back of the net.
It is Ferguson's first-ever Premier League hat-trick — a staggering feat for a player his age.
At 18 years and 318 days, Ferguson is only the fourth player to score three in a top flight fixture since 1992, following in the footsteps of Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and Chris Bart-Williams.
On a day in which Erling Haaland and Son Heung-min also scored hat-tricks for Manchester City and Tottenham, it is only the second time that three different players have scored a Premier League hat-trick on the same day — following Fowler, Alan Shearer and Tony Yeboah on September 23, 1995.
Callum Wilson managed to claw a late consolation back for Newcastle, but it was Brighton who secured a deserved win to move them up to fourth in the table.
Newcastle, however, remain in the bottom half of the table with just three points from their opening four games.
