An incredible new drone photograph shows seating in place in all four sides of Everton’s new stadium.
The first royal blue seats added a splash of colour to the construction site when they were installed in the upper tier of the north east corner of Everton’s 52,888 capacity future home at Bramley-Moore Dock in October. Now, four months on, seats have been added in all four sides of the ground with the upper sections almost complete and some seating in the lower tier of the north stand having already gone in.
The addition of seating in the lower tiers also signifies another milestone in development as they could not go in until the roofing was finished and the bigger cranes were moved off site. Installation of the seats is a six-month process so that phase of developments is expected to be completed around Easter.

Paul Harvey, construction manager for Laing O’Rourke, who is responsible for co-ordinating all the works within the stadium bowl, said at the start of the process: “We have a lot of activities that have to knit together and a lot of risk involved, so all of that needs co-ordinating. Although the seat installs might look like a simple operation, there are 50,000 holes to drill and a lot of safety issues, with hand-arm vibration.
“Bluecube, who are installing the seats – and led by our engineered safety team – have come up with a really good new method using new drill rigs and a suction system, and with some independent analysis, it’s pretty much taken away the risks of hand-arm vibration and the dangers of dust inhalation, so that’s a massive
