FIFA president Gianni Infantino made a surprise appearance at a Scottish Premiership match this weekend in a break away from his crucial talks.
Infantino was on the banks of Loch Lomond north of the border to meet the International Football Association Board, the body responsible for rule changes.
At the summit, as reported by Mail Sport, it was decided the sport's controversial blue card and sin bin trials will not be extended beyond grassroots level.
But Infantino was able to prise himself away from the discussions to take in a local match, with his day trip taking him to the SMiSA Stadium in Paisley.
There, he watched St Mirren clinch the most dramatic of victories against Aberdeen.
Infantino watched on from the stands alongside SFA boss Mike Mulraney and did not have to wait long for a goal with the breakthrough coming in the first minute.
With less than 60 seconds on the clock, Connor Barron's thumping strike hit the net.
After the explosive start from Neil Warnock's struggling side, Infantino and the rest of the crowd were treated to an equally spectacular grandstand finish.
Mark O'Hara fired home a penalty on 96 minutes and just a minute later, in one of the game's final kicks, Toyosi Olusanya sparked wild scenes with an incredible winner.
'That was a super way to finish the game,' St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson told BBC Scotland. 'It's the best way to win but not good for my heart.'
Infantino, an Inter Milan supporter, discussed divisive new proposals at the annual meeting of lawmakers IFAB - with the subject of blue cards on the agenda.
