With one eye on Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final trip to Manchester United, there will be much intrigue over who lines up against Sparta given Liverpool's strong position in the tie.
And with rotation once again expected on Thursday, there was encouragement in the surprise return of Ryan Gravenberch, who hasn't featured since being injured in the League Cup final win over Chelsea at the end of last month.
Gravenberch was all smiles and took full part in the session, and will now be in contention for at least a place on the bench.
Ibou absent
However, there was one player who again was missing, with Ibrahima Konate - who suffered a muscle problem in Prague and subsequently sat out Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester City - not involved.
Klopp stated after that game he was confident the France international would be available for United, although the clock is now ticking on his availability.
