Cameras caught the moment Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi was told that European qualification rivals West Ham beat Arsenal.
Tomas Soucek and Konstantinos Mavropanos both scored for the Hammers in what was a deserved 2-0 win away at the Emirates Stadium.
Victory has seen West Ham rise to sixth in the Premier League table ahead of Brighton, who also beat Tottenham 4-2 on the same night.
The Seagulls were excellent against Ange Postecoglou's side but, despite their win, they remain three points behind the Hammers.
Had West Ham lost, Brighton would have gone above them on goal difference in the race for a European spot, but it wasn't to be.
After their win over Spurs, De Zerbi was seen asking someone next to him about what the score was at Arsenal.
«2-0 to West Ham» a voice to his right side, with the Brighton boss then clarifying: «2-0?»
«West Ham,» De Zerbi was told again before showing a concerned look and turning back to reporters in his post-match press conference.
Footage of the funny moment was shared on social media and fans loved it, with one on X saying: «I’m wheezing.»
«Zerbi is like oh wow… unexpected much lol,» added a second.
A third said: «This was me when I woke up this morning and checked the score.»
«This is so hilarious. The way he responded ‘2-0?'» said a fourth amid De Zerbi's reaction to the score line.

Qualification for Europe is still very much achievable for the Seagulls this season as they sit just one point outside of the top seven.
