Footage has emerged of Everton's Dwight McNeil laughing at Burnley supporters that booed him during the Blues Carabao Cup win over Burnley on Wednesday.
The Lancashire club were blown away on Merseyside last night, forced to make the short trip home after exiting the cup by a 3-0 scoreline.
It was quite the reunion for some of Everton's group. Sean Dyche first of all was facing the Clarets - the club he spent almost a decade with - for the first time since his 2022 sacking. The same could be said for both James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil - the latter getting a cold reception from the travelling fans.
In the opening stages the 23-year-old was subject to intense boos from his former supporters - likely the result of bitterness that remains in tact following his £20m transfer to Everton upon Burnley's relegation at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

Ultimately not only McNeil but the cohort that formerly belonged to last night's opponents came back to haunt them. The team now managed by Dyche was headed in front by Tarkowski after 13 minutes, and it was put on a plate by the England Under-21 international.
Now McNeil's reaction has just surfaced on social media, showing him get the last laugh in front of the away end in the Bullens Road Stand when wheeling away in celebration with team-mates.
He went on to complete 94 minutes of the match, helping the Blues reach the quarter finals where they will play Fulham, once again at Goodison Park.
