Jarrad Branthwaite will represent England on home turf after being selected for the Under-21s’ upcoming clash at Goodison Park.
The centre back has been named in the squad for the November double header against Serbia and then Northern Ireland - which will be held in Liverpool.
It marks a continuation of his progress after a year that has seen him break into senior football and win domestic and international silverware.

Branthwaite’s selection was made as he continues to impress U21s boss - and former Blue - Lee Carsley. Having been part of the squad that clinched the European Championships over the summer, his inclusion was expected, though his startling form had led to some speculation he was on the verge of the senior international squad.
Those claims followed a stunning start to the campaign in which he has held onto his first team place since breaking into the starting XI against Wolverhampton Wanderers for the third game of the Premier League season.
Expectations had been high after he fought his way into the PSV Eindhoven first team during the second half of his loan spell in the Netherlands last season.
