Footballer Diogo Dalot has welcomed his first child with fiancée Claudia Pinto, after missing a recent match due to 'personal reasons'. The Manchester United ace, 24, who also plays for the Portugal national team, withdrew from the Euro qualifiers earlier this week and head coach Roberto Martinez was informed that Claudia was due to give birth imminently. On Wednesday, 15 November, Diogo announced the arrival of his and Claudia's baby daughter on Instagram with a sweet black and white photograph of the couple holding their newborn's hand.
"Welcome to the world Clara. 15.11.2023," the new dad proudly captioned the post, introducing his daughter to the world. Diogo and Claudia were inundated with well wishes from friends and fans on social media, with many flocking to congratulate them on becoming parents.
Fellow Manchester United player Sergio Reguilón wrote: "Congratulations brother," with two red heart emojis, while Eva Garcia - Alejandro Garnacho's girlfriend - penned: "Congratulations family!!! I wish you all the best". Fabrizio Romano said: "Welcome clara!" and the official Instagram account for Manchester United commented: "Congratulations to you both!" Anouska Santos added: "Congratulations guys xx," and Cam Reading said: "Congratulations guys". Diogo was expected to start both Euro 2024 qualifiers but after quitting Portugal's training camp, a statement was released about him being released.
