Frank Lampard is on Rangers’ final shortlist to fill their managerial vacancy, talkSPORT understands.
Ex-Chelsea boss Lampard conducted an initial interview with the Gers board earlier this week.
Former Ibrox defender Kevin Muscat also remains a contender to replace the sacked Mick Beale.
Lampard is eyeing a return to management having left Chelsea at the end of last season.
He was drafted in on a short-term basis in April but struggled to turn the Blues’ form around, with the club eventually finishing 12th in the Premier League.
Lampard, 45, was sacked by Everton in January after less than a year in charge at Goodison Park.
Tino Livramento has returned to the England Under-21s squad for the first time in over 18 months.
The Newcastle defender has not featured since March 2022, having suffered a serious knee injury a month later which ruled him out for over a year.
He has made four appearances for Newcastle since his Ł32million move from Southampton in August.
Aaron Ramsey has also returned, with Brentford goalkeeper Matthew Cox – currently on loan at Bristol Rovers – Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah, Hull’s Jaden Philogene and Jonathan Rowe of Norwich given their first call ups for the Euro qualifiers against Serbia and Ukraine.
