Former Liverpool youngster tipped for big things returns to football after two years as a free agent
Former Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has signed for National League North side Warrington Town.
An academy product of the Reds, Wisdom made his debut for the club 11 years ago - marking the occasion with a goal against Young Boys in the Europa League. He went on to total 22 appearances and sign a long-term deal later that season.
However opportunities under Brendan Rodgers dwindled and four season-long subsequent loan moves followed. The most successful in terms of game time was to Derby County in the 2013/14 campaign, where he helped the club reach the play-offs, whilst three years later he would win two trophies in Austria with RB Salzburg.

The Rams clearly left a good impression as the full-back would eventually return there on a permanent basis in 2017, leaving Liverpool in a £4.5m deal.
This next venture lasted another four years, and whilst it was the most stable era of his career it did not come without its problems. The former Red was stabbed in an unprovoked attack in 2020 and a year later was released by a then-financially struggling Derby.
The last two years left Wisdom in search of a new employer, undergoing trials with Portsmouth, Birmingham City, Sheffield United and Polish outfit Warta Poznan, but now at 30 years old has finally found a place to call home in the sixth tier of English football.
He is set to be available for the Yellows' home league match against King's Lynn Town tomorrow, which would be the Under-17 European champion's first April 20, 2021.
