Frank Lampard has claimed that he 'can't help' switching between joking and being serious during interviews, as the Chelsea legend speaks out on hilarious 'no but seriously' memes.
The 45-year-old has previously gone viral for his post-match interviews, with the former Derby, Everton and Chelsea manager often being seen laughing before quickly cutting to a more stern look.
But his hilarious expressions have had many fans laughing, with Lampard opening up on becoming the subject of a host of online memes on the Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet.
He also featured as an easter egg in the video game Football Manager 2023, with players able to select a response in a press conference that will see them give a positive response to a question before stating 'no but seriously' and adding a more stern answer.
It even took Lampard less than one hour into his spell as Chelsea caretaker manager last year to pull out the hilarious expression, and he admitted that his daughter regularly sends the memes of his funny expressions.
Speaking on Sky Sports' 'Stick to Football' podcast, Lampard was quizzed by Jamie Carragher whether he knew he was making the funny expressions.
'Can I ask you one thing?' the former Liverpool defender said: 'You must be aware when you're managing and when you do your interviews and you do that thing where you're laughing and then you go serious?'
Lampard: 'Yeah, I've seen. My Daughter sent it to me loads.'
The pair were sat around a breakfast table alongside Jill Scott, Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ian wright, who were all in hysterics. Wright added: 'I love it!'
But it appears Neville had not seen the hilarious memes before, with the ex-Man United defender appearing to say to Carragher: 'What?'
